1. Milling cutter bar and its installation
The left end is a cone with a taper of 7:24, which is used to fit with the taper hole of the spindle of the milling machine. There is an internal thread hole at the end of the cone, and the milling cutter rod is tensioned in the taper hole of the spindle through the tensioning screw. There is a flange with two notches at the front end of the cone, which fits with the convex key at the end of the main shaft. In the middle of the milling cutter bar is an optical axis with a length of 1, which is used to install the milling cutter and washer. There is a keyway on the optical axis, which is used to install the positioning key and transmit the torque to the milling cutter. The right end of the milling cutter bar is the thread and journal; The thread is used to install the tightening nut and tighten the milling cutter. The journal is used to fit with the hanger bearing hole and support the right end of the milling cutter rod.

The installation steps of milling cutter bar are as follows:
(1) Select the milling cutter rod with the corresponding diameter according to the milling cutter aperture. The length of the milling cutter rod should be shorter on the premise that the normal milling will not be affected after the installation of the milling cutter, so as to enhance the rigidity of the milling cutter.
(2) Loosen the fastening nut of the cross beam of the milling machine, properly adjust the extension length of the cross beam to match the length of the milling cutter rod, and then fasten the cross beam.
(3) Clean the push hole of the spindle of the milling machine and the taper handle of the milling cutter bar, so as not to affect the installation accuracy of the milling cutter bar due to dirt.
(4) Adjust the spindle speed of the milling machine to the minimum or lock the spindle.
(5) Install the milling cutter bar. Install the taper handle of the milling cutter bar into the taper hole of the spindle with the right hand. When installing, the notch (groove) on the flange of the milling cutter bar should be aligned with the convex key at the end of the spindle; The left hand rotates the tension screw in the spindle hole clockwise (observed from the rear end of the spindle), so that the threaded part at the front end of the tension screw is screwed into the threaded hole 6-7r of the milling cutter rod. Then use a wrench to tighten the back nut on the tightening screw and tighten the milling cutter rod in the taper hole of the spindle.

2. Installation of milling cutter with hole
(1) Clean the milling cutter rod, washer and milling cutter, and determine the axial position of the milling cutter on the milling cutter rod.
(2) Install the washer and milling cutter into the milling cutter rod so that the milling cutter is at the predetermined position, and then screw in the tightening nut. Note that the supporting Journal of the milling cutter rod and the hanger bearing hole should have sufficient matching length.

(3) Clean the hanger bearing hole and the supporting Journal of the milling cutter rod, inject an appropriate amount of lubricating oil, adjust the hanger bearing, and install the hanger on the beam guide rail. Properly adjust the clearance between the hanger bearing hole and the milling cutter rod support journal. When using a small hanger, use a double headed wrench to adjust, and when using a large hanger, use a slotted round nut wrench to adjust, and then tighten the hanger.
(4) Tighten the nut of the milling cutter rod, and clamp the milling cutter on the milling cutter rod through the cushion diagram.
