1. Casting burr
The size of the burr of the superfluous material produced at the joint of the mold or the root of the gate is generally expressed in mm.
2. Forging burr
At the joint of the metal die, it is caused by the plastic deformation of the forging material.
3. Burr of electric welding and gas welding
Electric welding burr refers to the burr that the filler at the welding seam protrudes from the part surface; Gas welding burr is the slag overflowing from the incision when gas is cut off.

4. Stamping burr
During stamping, there is a gap between the punch on the die and the lower die, or there is a gap between the cutters at the notch, as well as burrs due to die wear.
5. Cutting burr
Turning, milling, planing, grinding, drilling, reaming and other processing methods can also produce burrs. Burrs produced by various processing methods have different shapes with different tools and process parameters.
02. How to remove metal burrs?
How to remove so many burrs? Choosing the right tools and techniques for deburring will get twice the result with half the effort. Now Xiao Qi will introduce several main deburring processes.

1. Manual deburring
It refers to the process in which technicians use files, sandpaper, grinding heads and other tools to polish and deburr the workpiece.
This method does not have high technical requirements for workers, and is applicable to products with small burrs and simple product structure. Therefore, it is also a commonly used deburring method.

2. Grinding and deburring
Grinding deburring is a method of deburring by means of vibration, sand blasting, roller, etc. It is also widely used at present.
The problem with grinding and deburring is that sometimes the deburring is not very clean, which may require subsequent manual processing or other methods of deburring. This method is suitable for small products with large batches.
3. High pressure water jet deburring
With water as the medium, use its instantaneous impact force to remove burrs or flash after processing, and achieve the purpose of cleaning at the same time.
