Before cutting, you can also use the following methods to correct the taper half angle:


    1) Monthly dial indicator correction. After the lathe turns the small sliding plate turntable to the angle estimated by visual estimation in the direction of the half angle of the cone, fix the dial indicator on the appropriate position of the saddle, so that the probe of the dial indicator touches the side of the sliding seat of the small sliding plate, and then move the saddle so that the The moving distance of the saddle is the length of the cone, and observe the swing amount C of the dial indicator pointer. When c=Ltan leads to Eft, the angle of rotation of the small slide plate is correct; if it is not equal, the angle of rotation of the small slide plate should be fine-tuned and debugged repeatedly until they are equal.


    2) Use standard cone plug gauge to calibrate. After aligning the center of the tailstock, clamp the standard compass plug gauge between the two centers in the direction of the half angle of the cone. The lathe then turns the small slide plate according to the estimated angle of the half angle of the cone and locks it. Fix the dial indicator on the small slide plate, make the dial indicator probe vertically align and contact the inner busbar of the small end of the conical surface, that is, align with the center of the workpiece, shake the small slide plate, and observe the dial indicator moving from the small end to the big end when the pointer swings. When the swing of the dial indicator pointers at both ends of the lathe is zero, it means that the rotation angle of the small slide plate is consistent with the angle of the conical plug gauge; otherwise, the turning angle of the small slide plate should be fine-tuned until the pointer swings to zero, as shown in Figure 6 -61 shown.


    Correcting the angle with a dial indicator or a standard plug gauge can accurately find the turning angle of the small slide plate before cutting, saving the time of repeated debugging during operation. These correction methods can be applied when turning cones and tapered holes.


    Measures to ensure the machining accuracy of the conical surface Ensuring the straightness of the conical surface is the basis for turning the conical surface well. Since the conical half angle of the lathe is formed by the intersection of the conical generatrix and the axis, the movement trajectory of the turning tool must coincide with the conical generatrix to ensure the straightness of the conical surface.
