This article will specifically introduce the main selection methods of CNC processing equipment.
1. Selection of machine tools
The selection principles of CNC machine tools mainly include the following aspects:
(1) Technical requirements: it is necessary to ensure the technical requirements of processed parts, and products with accuracy and quality can be processed.
(2) Production efficiency: it is conducive to improving productivity.
(3) Processing costs: reduce production costs as much as possible.
In actual processing, CNC machine tools are selected according to the requirements of blank material and type, part contour shape complexity, size, processing accuracy, workpiece quantity, production conditions and so on.
2. Selection of measuring tools and auxiliary appliances
In the process of actual processing, vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, surface roughness templates and other auxiliary processing tools will be used. The operator needs to select these tools according to the processing needs.
3. Fixture selection
The fixture is used to clamp the workpiece, ensure the position of the workpiece, ensure the positioning accuracy of the processed workpiece, and make the loading and unloading as convenient and fast as possible. In CNC machining, there are two main requirements for fixtures. One is to ensure that the coordinate direction of the fixture is relatively fixed with that of the machine tool; The second is to coordinate the dimensional relationship between parts and machine tool coordinate system.

Therefore, the selection of fixtures in actual processing needs to be based on the size of parts, accuracy requirements and production conditions.
4. Tool selection
The selection of cutting tools and cutting parameters in CNC machining are also skills that operators must have. When programming, they need to fully understand the processing requirements, workpiece characteristics and other related contents. Only in this way can tools and cutting parameters be correctly selected.
In CNC machining, the tools needed for tool selection should meet the requirements of convenient installation and adjustment, good rigidity, high precision, good durability and so on.
As the CNC lathe is also used for rough and fine turning, the cutting depth and fast feed during rough turning require that the turning tool has sufficient strength and can feed and turn more allowance at one time; When finishing turning, the dimensional accuracy and small surface roughness required by the drawing shall be achieved, and the allowance for turning shall be less. The turning tool shall be sharp, the cutting edge shall be straight and smooth, and the polishing edge can be grinded out when necessary.
Therefore, in order to reduce tool change time, facilitate tool setting, improve production efficiency, and facilitate the standardization of machining, machine clamping tools and machine clamping blade tools should be used as much as possible in NC turning. Machine clamping blade tools often use indexable turning tools.
