The main methods of tool withdrawal are as follows:
(1) Feed and withdraw the tool directly along the z-axis direction of the coordinate axis
(2) Feed or retract the tool along the given vector direction
(3) Feed or withdraw the tool in a straight line along the tangent direction of the surface
(4) Feed or retreat along the normal direction of the surface
(5) Feed or retreat along the direction of arc segment
(6) Feed mode along helix or oblique line
For the machining of profile surface with high machining accuracy requirements, the mode of feeding and retreating along the tangent vector direction of the surface or along the arc direction should be selected, so that the tool stop trace will not be left at the feeding or retreating position of the workpiece, which will affect the surface machining quality of the workpiece.
