Whether the workpiece clamping of the CNC machine tool is correct or not, not only affects the machining accuracy of the workpiece, but also sometimes affects the smooth progress of the entire machining process. The workpiece must have enough clamping allowance. The larger workpiece has 2 supporting surfaces and cannot be cantilevered. Before clamping the workpiece, the verticality of the electrode wire workpiece clamping table should be calibrated first. Then, according to the icon and process requirements, the cutting content, station reference and cutting sequence are clarified. For workpieces with process holes, check whether the hole positions conform to the process requirements.
Magnetic blanks should be demagnetized. In order to avoid breaking the electrode wire when clamping the workpiece, it is better to turn the wire storage cylinder to the end of the reversing direction, so that even if the electrode wire is accidentally broken, only one end of the electrode wire is damaged, and the entire wire storage cylinder will not be damaged. Scrap of the electrode wire. When clamping the workpiece, use a dial indicator and other measuring tools to find the datum plane according to the machining accuracy of the icon, so that the datum plane of the workpiece is parallel to the x and y directions of the machine tool. The clamping position should be appropriate, and the cutting range of the CNC machine tool workpiece should be within the allowable range of the machine tool carriage stroke. And take care that the workholding should not touch any part of the wire holder during the cutting process. After the workpiece is clamped, the debris on the workpiece table should be removed.
After the clamping is completed, threading is carried out. Before threading, check whether the diameter of the electrode wire is the same as the diameter of the electrode wire specified in the programming. If the electrode wire is worn to a certain extent, replace it with a new wire. After the threading is completed, it is necessary to check whether the positions of the electrode wire are correct in the route passed by the electrode wire, especially whether the electrode wire is in the guide wheel groove, and the electrode wire cannot be in contact with the hole wall.
