What Are The Common Faults Of CNC

Jul 25, 2022

1. The high current causes the machine tool to alarm. Generally, there are two possibilities for high current alarm, that is, the power drive element on the CNC speed control unit of the machining center is damaged and the high current alarm is caused by short circuit.

2. High voltage will also cause machine tool to alarm. There are generally three possibilities for high voltage alarm. It may be that the CNC input voltage of the machining center exceeds 10% of the rated value, or the insulation performance of the servo motor is reduced, or High voltage caused by the wiring of the speed control unit of the machining center.

3. The machine tool alarm is caused by the low voltage. The probability of this happening in the machining center is very rare. This situation may be caused by the input voltage being lower than 85% of the rated value, or the power connection is poor.

4. The feedback line of the detection speed is broken, which leads to an alarm. This situation is a false alarm, because the airport has no problem, and there is a problem with the detection feedback system. Most of these alarms are caused by the speed feedback line of the CNC servo motor of the machining center. broken or caused by poor contact of its detection feedback line.

5. The protection switch starts an alarm. The protection switch is a device to protect the machine tool. For example, high voltage will burn some components and other emergency measures that the machine tool cannot control. When these situations are encountered, the protection switch will be activated to avoid unnecessary Component damage, something like a safety stop.

6. Overload alarm, the cause of overload alarm is that the CNC mechanical load of the machining center is abnormal, or the upper limit of the motor current on the speed control unit is set too low. The falling off of the permanent magnet on the permanent magnet motor will also cause an overload alarm. If the motor of the CNC machining center without a brake cannot be turned by hand when it is no-load, or it is very difficult to rotate the shaft, it means that the permanent magnet has completely fallen off.

7. The fuse on the CNC speed control unit of the machining center is blown or the circuit breaker is tripped.
