When using a dial indicator, generally install the watch on a watch stand or other reliable support, otherwise it will affect the measurement accuracy. The dial indicator is fixed with a magnetic base. When in use, install the dial indicator on the watch clip and tighten it, then place the watch seat on a reliable plane, and turn the magnetic switch to fix the watch seat. Adjust the arm so that the dial indicator contacts touch the surface to be inspected before measuring. The following should be noted when using the dial indicator:
(1) The measuring rod, contact and workpiece should be wiped clean before measurement, and the clamping force should not be too large when clamping the meter head, so as to avoid deformation of the sleeve and inflexible movement of the measuring rod.
(2) When using a dial indicator to compare and measure batches of workpieces, a gauge block or other standard measuring tool should be used to adjust the pointer to the zero position, then place the workpiece to be measured under the probe, and observe the pointer deflection to record Reading, determine the measured workpiece error.
(3) When measuring the plane, the measuring rod should be perpendicular to the measured plane; when measuring the cylindrical surface, the axis of the measuring rod should pass through the axis of the measured surface and be perpendicular to the horizontal plane. At the same time, the measuring head is selected according to the shape and surface roughness of the workpiece to be measured.
(4) In order to ensure that the measuring force is constant, the probe should be compressed at least 20-25 divisions on the workpiece, align the pointer with the zero position of the dial, and then lightly lift the measuring rod 1-2 mm, let it go by itself To restore, try to lift 2-3 times, if the pointer stops at other positions, you should re-adjust the zero position.
(5) When reading, the line of sight should be perpendicular to the dial, and any skewed reading will cause reading errors.
