1. In order to improve the strength of longer sheet metal parts, reinforcing ribs should be designed.
2. Further bending at the corner of the bending part can strengthen the rib.
3. Stiffener
Pressing ribs on sheet metal parts is helpful to increase the structural rigidity. See the table for the stiffener structure and its size selection.
4. Limit dimension of convex spacing and convex margin
The limit size of convex spacing and convex edge spacing shall be selected according to the following table.
5. Louver
Louver is usually used for ventilation and heat dissipation on various enclosures or casings. Its forming method is to cut the material through one edge of the punch, while the rest of the punch simultaneously stretches and deforms the material to form a undulating shape of one opening.
