Machining Method

Jul 12, 2022

Machining method generally refers to the use of machinery to cut, grind, cut and other processing methods of materials. Some materials with high hardness and brittleness are difficult to machine, especially some ceramic materials. If these materials must be processed to the same accuracy as metal parts, diamond grinding wheel is required for grinding, grinding and polishing.

Machining can be roughly divided into the following two ways: ① forced feeding: Machining on an ordinary machine grinder, and the cutting depth and workpiece accuracy are determined according to the dynamic accuracy of the machine tool. It is characterized by accurate shape and high efficiency. ② Pressure feed mode: the grinding tool selectively processes the protruding part of the workpiece surface, so as to improve the accuracy. When machining simple shapes such as plane, ball and cylinder, if you pay attention to the shape and accuracy of abrasive tools, the machining accuracy can be better than that of machine tools. Its disadvantage is the lack of shape giving and long processing time. The most striking is laser machining technology. It can also be used to cut aerospace materials such as titanium, titanium alloy, chromium alloy and high-strength steel. It can also be used to cut quartz glass and Si3N4 ceramics. Its cutting efficiency is much higher than that of diamond grinding wheel. It is an ideal processing method.
