Cast Aluminum Alloy Overview

Jul 28, 2022

Cast aluminum alloys can be divided into aluminum-silicon alloys, aluminum-copper alloys, aluminum-magnesium alloys and aluminum-zinc alloys according to their chemical composition.

1. Pure aluminum products

Pure aluminum is divided into two categories: smelted products and pressure-processed products. The former is represented by the chemical composition Al, and the latter is represented by the Chinese Pinyin LG (aluminum, industrial).

Second, the pressure processing aluminum alloy

Aluminum alloy press products are divided into seven categories: anti-rust (LF), hard (LY), forged (LD), super-hard (LC), clad (LB), special (LT) and brazing (LQ). Commonly used aluminum alloy materials are in three states: annealing (M annealing), hardening (Y), and hot rolling (R).

3. Aluminum

Aluminum and aluminum alloys processed into certain shapes are collectively referred to as aluminum materials, including plates, strips, foils, tubes, rods, wires, shapes, etc.

Fourth, cast aluminum alloy

Cast aluminum alloy (ZL) is divided into four categories according to the main elements other than aluminum in the composition: silicon, copper, magnesium, and zinc, and the codes are 100, 200, 300, and 400 respectively.

Five, high-strength aluminum alloy

High-strength aluminum alloys refer to aluminum alloys whose tensile strength is greater than 480 MPa, mainly hard aluminum alloys, superhard aluminum alloys and casting alloys in pressure-processed aluminum alloys.
