Basic Steps of Milling Fixture in Precision Parts Processing
In the process of precision parts processing, the milling machine fixture has three types: linear feeding, circumferential feeding and copying feeding. The design of the milling machine fixture should follow the general steps of the design of the special fixture for the machine tool:

1. Understand the structural characteristics and materials of the workpiece, as well as the processing surface, processing requirements, machining allowance, positioning benchmark, clamping components, and the machine tools, tools and measuring tools used in this process.
2. Conception of the structure scheme of the fixture, such as clamping details, positioning mode and structure, clamping mode and structure, tool setting device, and setting device.
3. Error analysis and clamping force estimation. When the machining accuracy is required to be high, the machining error analysis shall be carried out. For parts with special structure, the clamping force estimation shall be carried out if pneumatic, hydraulic and other transmission devices are used.
4. Draw general assembly drawings and non-standard part drawings, and determine technical requirements for processing, assembly and inspection with reference to relevant standards.
To sum up, it is the most basic requirement to design the basic steps of milling machine fixture in precision parts processing.
