Three axis CNC machining surface intersection
Because the three-axis CNC machining tool axis is fixed and not affected by other factors, generally only spherical tools can be used. In this way, the final state of the intersection of the two surfaces can only be to leave the minimum allowable tool fillet radius at the intersection, and it is impossible to process a strict intersection.
The spherical cutter is used to process the intersection of curved surface in three-axis CNC. The calculation method of constructing the intersection of equidistant surfaces of the machined surface can be used to generate the intersection machining tool path. The processing process is mainly as follows:
1. According to the machining process requirements of intersecting surfaces and the shape of intersecting surfaces, the spherical cutter with the largest semi precision of the tool is selected.
2. Construct equidistant surfaces of two machined surfaces, and the distance is equal to the radius of the tool.
3. Find the intersection of two equidistant surfaces.
4. Based on the intersection point column, the parameter screening method is used to generate the intersection machining tool path, or the intersection point column can be directly used as the intersection machining tool path.
5. According to the inspection surface at both ends of the intersection and the tool movement, the cutting tool path of the intersection processing is cut.

2、 Five axis CNC machining process of surface intersection
For 5-axis CNC machining, because the cutter axis can be controlled, not only spherical cutter can be used for surface intersection root cleaning, but also spherical cutter or end milling cutter can be used according to the shape of rubber surface and constraint surface.
