Planer is a machine tool that uses a planer to plane, groove or formed surface of workpiece. Planer is to generate relative linear reciprocating motion between cutter and workpiece to achieve the purpose of planing the surface of workpiece. Reciprocating motion is the main motion on the planer. In addition to the main motion, the machine tool also has auxiliary motion, also known as the feed motion. The feed motion of the planer is the intermittent movement of the workbench (or planer).
On the planer, horizontal plane, vertical plane, inclined plane, curved surface, step surface, dovetail workpiece, T-shaped groove, V-shaped groove, hole, gear and rack can be planed. If the planer is refitted properly, the scope of application of the planer can be expanded.
The planer has high efficiency in planing narrow and long surfaces. It is suitable for small and medium-sized batch production and maintenance workshops.
