Especially when the number of divisions is large, errors will be caused by factors such as many transmission links and clearance control.

The indexing operation is incorrect, causing the indexing error, and the calculation of the number of revolutions of the indexing handle n is wrong. The indexing fork of the lathe is adjusted incorrectly. The number of holes between the sectors is not the number of holes, but the number of holes, or the angle of the sector of the indexing fork changes during the indexing process. The exchange gear configuration and installation are incorrect, the master and slave positions are wrong, the number of teeth is wrong, the gear shaft is loose, the mating surface between the gear sleeve and the shaft is not clean, and the tooth engagement gap is too large or too small. During the indexing and processing of the rotary table and the indexing head of the lathe, the locking handle is not used properly, such as indexing when it is locked, and milling when it is loosened. The special indexing fixture does not lock the rotary table during processing, which will also cause wear and deformation of the indexing pins and holes. When the linear shift is indexed, the guide rail of the worktable is not adjusted properly, the gap is too large or too small; the axial gap of the screw is too large or too small.
