Determination of CNC processing route
The feed processing route of CNC lathe refers to the path that the turning tool starts to move from the tool setting point (or the fixed origin of the machine tool) until it returns to the point and ends the processing program, including the cutting path and the non cutting empty travel path such as tool cut in and cut out.
The feeding route of finish machining is basically carried out along the contour of its parts. Therefore, the key to determine the feeding route is to determine the feeding route of rough machining and empty stroke.

In CNC lathe processing, the determination of processing route should generally follow the following principles.
1. The accuracy and surface roughness of the machined workpiece shall be ensured.
2. Make the processing route shortest, reduce the idle travel time and improve the processing efficiency.
3. Try to simplify the workload of numerical calculation and the processing procedure.
4. Subroutines should be used for some programs that are reused.
