Basic methods of fault diagnosis for CNC machine tools

When the CNC machine tool breaks down, in order to find out the cause of the fault, the maintenance personnel should follow the following two principles.

1. Fully investigate the fault site. This is an important means for maintenance personnel to obtain first-hand maintenance materials. First, check the fault record sheet: at the same time, investigate and ask the operator about the whole process of the fault, and fully understand the fault phenomenon and the measures taken.

2. The maintenance personnel should also make a detailed inspection on the site to observe whether there are abnormalities outside and inside the system. The CNC system can be powered on only after it is confirmed that there is no danger when it is powered on. After it is powered on, observe whether the system is abnormal and what the alarm content displayed by CRT is.

The default value really analyzes the cause of the fault. Although the CNC system of central China CNC machine tool has various alarm indicators or self diagnostic programs, it is impossible to diagnose the exact location of the fault, and there can be multiple causes of failure for the same fault and the same alarm. When analyzing the cause of failure, we must broaden our thinking and consider various factors as much as possible.

When analyzing the fault, the maintenance personnel should not be limited to the CNC part, but should make a detailed inspection on the strong current, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other aspects of the machine tool, and make a comprehensive judgment, so as to achieve the purpose of confirmation and final troubleshooting.
