(1) Before using the vernier caliper, the measuring claw and the surface of the measured workpiece should be cleaned, especially the dust and oil on the surface. Avoid the inaccurate measurement accuracy of the vernier caliper. At the same time, we should also check the interaction of various parts: whether the gear frame and micro motion device move flexibly, whether the fastening screws work, etc.
(2) Check the zero position of the oil level caliper, make the two claws of the vernier caliper closely fit, and observe whether the vernier zero scale is aligned with the zero scale of the ruler body, and whether the tail scale of the vernier is aligned with the corresponding scribed line of the ruler body.
(3) When using, it is necessary to grasp the pressure when the measuring claw surface and the working surface are in contact, and keep it just until the measuring surface is in contact with the workpiece. At the same time, the measuring claw can slide freely along the workpiece surface.
(4) When reading with a vernier caliper, you should choose a place with good light, so that the line of sight is perpendicular to the scale line on the ruler, so as to avoid reading errors caused by the deflection of the line of sight. In order to make the data more accurate, you can measure multiple times at the same position and take the average value.
(5) When measuring the external dimension, after reading, do not draw the downstream caliper from the measured object. Open the measuring claw and take it out to avoid damage to the caliper.
2. Height vernier caliper
(1) Before use, check whether there are burrs or scratches on the working surface of the base, and whether the working surface of the base and the flat plate for inspection are clean.
(2) When moving the height ruler, try to hold the base as much as possible to avoid grasping the ruler body, and avoid the height ruler falling or the ruler body deformation.
(3) When measuring the height, the base of the height ruler should be attached to the flat plate first, move the measuring claw of the ruler frame to make its end contact with the flat plate, and check whether the zero position of the height ruler is correct.
3. Depth micrometer
1. Before use or after replacing the measuring rod, it is necessary to calibrate the screw tightened replaceable measuring rod.
2. Before measurement, clean the measuring equipment, clean the measuring surface of the base plate and the measured surface of the workpiece, and remove burrs.
3. During measurement, the bottom plate should be in contact with the surface of the measured workpiece. The central axis of the measuring rod is perpendicular to the measuring surface of the measured workpiece.
4. The end of the measuring rod is easy to wear, so when not measuring, you should always check whether the zero position is correct.
