Knock-off is to use the impact energy of a hammer or other heavy objects to disassemble the parts. This method is the most commonly used method in the disassembly of ordinary machine tools.
(1) The advantages and disadvantages of knock-off. The advantage of knock-off is that it is easy to use tools, easy to operate, and does not require special tools and equipment. Its disadvantage is that if the knockout method is not correct, the parts are easily damaged or destroyed. The knock-off is suitable for a wide range of occasions, and almost all general parts can be disassembled by the knock-off method.
(2) Knock off classification. Knockdowns are roughly divided into three categories:
① Unload with a hammer. In machine repair, because there are various dismantling parts, generally they are disassembled on the spot, so it is very common to use a hammer to disassemble.
②Using the weight of the parts to impact disassembly. In some cases, it is suitable to use the energy of the weight impact of the parts to disassemble the parts, for example. Some forging equipments often use this method to disassemble the hammer head and hammer rod.
③Use other heavy objects to impact and disassemble. Heavy-duty rams are often used when disassembling large and medium-sized shaft parts that are firmly bonded.
(3) Precautions. Since the characteristic of knockout itself is impact, take hammering as an example to briefly describe the matters that must be paid attention to when disassembling
①It should be based on the size, quality and firmness of the disassembled parts. Choose an appropriately sized hammer and pay attention to the amount of throwing force. If the quality of the dismantling parts is large and the fit is tight, the hammer is too light. The parts are not easy to be struck, and it is easy to roughen the parts.
②Protection measures should be taken for the dismantling parts of ordinary machine tools, usually copper rods, crotch rods, wooden rods and wooden boards are used to protect the shaft ends, sleeve ends and wheel rims that were struck. The knockout parts should be tested first, the purpose is to check the firmness of the parts and to test the direction of the parts. If you hear a solid sound. Stop knocking out immediately, then check to see if it's due to the opposite direction or due to missing fasteners. When the parts are found to be seriously corroded, some kerosene can be added to lubricate them.
④ Pay attention to safety. Before unloading, check whether the hammer handle is loose to prevent the hammer head from flying out and hurting people when slamming. Watch for people or other obstacles in the space the hammer is traversing. In order to ensure safety when unloading, the horns and other materials that should not be directly supported by hands can be clamped with pliers.
